Why ECINET Was Launched
Before ECINET, voters had to use different apps for different tasks: one to register, another to report violations of the Model Code of Conduct, another for persons with disabilities, and another to see candidate details. The idea of a single platform came from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at the conference of Chief Electoral Officers in March 2025. ECINET gives one login for all these services, on both mobile and desktop.
By the time of its formal launch, ECI said that over 10 crore registration forms had been processed through it since the beta, over 11 lakh BLOs were registered on it, and over 150 crore documents had been digitised during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Apps Integrated into ECINET
- Voter Helpline App
- cVIGIL (reporting Model Code of Conduct violations)
- Saksham (for voters with disabilities)
- Voter Turnout / Polling Trends
- Know Your Candidate
The older Voter Helpline app is still listed on Google Play, but ECI has moved its services into ECINET.

How to Download and Log In
- Search for ECINET on Google Play or App Store. The developer must be Election Commission of India.
- Install the app and choose your language.
- Log in with your mobile number and the OTP.
- Keep your EPIC (voter ID) number handy. Services linked to your voter record, such as Book-a-Call with BLO, ask for it.
How to Use Book-a-Call with BLO
This feature connects you directly with your Booth Level Officer, which is especially useful during roll revision:
- Log in on the ECINET app or voters.eci.gov.in with your mobile number and OTP.
- Choose Book-a-Call with BLO.
- Enter your EPIC number or form reference number.
- Both you and the BLO get an SMS. As reported, the BLO calls back within 48 hours and marks the call in ECINET.
How to Check Candidate Details (Know Your Candidate)
Before voting, you can check the background of every candidate in your constituency. The Know Your Candidate module on ECINET shows each candidate's educational qualifications, criminal antecedents (if any), and assets and liabilities, and lets you download the full affidavit filed with the nomination. ECI highlighted this feature for the 2026 assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
ECINET and SIR (Special Intensive Revision) 2026
ECI announced SIR Phase III on 14 May 2026 for 16 states and 3 union territories, covering about 36.73 crore electors and 3.94 lakh BLOs. Enumeration forms can be filed through the BLO or online. The ECINET app supports SIR form submission and tracking, so you can check whether your form has been received.
Election Results Data in 72 Hours
For the 2026 assembly elections and bye-elections (830 assembly constituencies), ECI published Index Cards and Statistical Reports on ECINET within 72 hours of the results, the first time Statistical Reports were published this fast.
