RRB ALP CBT-2 Result: Current Status

How the ALP Selection Actually Works
This is the part candidates most often get wrong, so it is worth being precise.
- CBT-2 has two parts. Part A is merit-counting. Part B is only qualifying, you must pass it, but its marks do not add to your score.
- After CBT-2 comes the CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test), which is compulsory for the ALP post.
- The final merit is 70% of the CBT-2 Part A normalised score plus 30% of the CBAT score.
So a strong CBT-2 does not by itself secure selection, the CBAT carries nearly a third of the final weight.
How to Check the Result When It Comes
Result PDF
- Open your zonal RRB website, the RRB you applied to.
- Go to the CEN 01/2025 (ALP) section.
- Download the zone-wise CBT-2 result PDF.
- Search your roll number with Ctrl + F.

- Open the scorecard link on your zonal RRB site.
- Log in with your Registration Number and Date of Birth or password.
- Download the scorecard, which shows your normalised CBT-2 Part A marks, qualifying status and the applicable cut-off.
Cut-Off
The CBT-2 cut-off has not been published. RRBs release ALP cut-offs zone-wise and category-wise along with the result, exactly as they did for CBT-1 on 12 June 2026.
Any "expected cut-off" table circulating now is a guess. Wait for the official PDF for your zone.
What to Do While You Wait
Prepare for the CBAT. This is the single most useful thing you can do right now, and most candidates postpone it until the result is out.
The CBAT tests psychological and aptitude traits relevant to driving trains, including:
- Intelligence and reasoning under time pressure
- Selective attention and concentration
- Perceptual speed and accuracy
- Memory and spatial ability
- Following instructions precisely
Two things to know about the CBAT: there is no negative marking, and you must score a minimum in each test battery to qualify, a strong overall score does not compensate for a weak section. Candidates who clear it usually do so through repeated timed practice, because the format rewards speed and consistency rather than knowledge.
Also keep your documents ready for verification: matriculation certificate, ITI or diploma or degree certificates, caste or EWS certificate in the prescribed proforma, and medical fitness for the Railway's A-1 vision standard, which applies to loco running staff.
Vacancy Position
The vacancy figure is reported as 11,970 by some sources and 10,970 by others. Confirm the number in the CEN 01/2025 notification and in your zone's notice, since vacancies are also revised through corrigenda.
