Exact qualifying standards for each event are specified in the official advertisement and differ for male and female candidates.

Salary

Selected constables are placed in the pay band of ₹19,500 to ₹62,000. During the probation period a stipend structure applies, around 70% of the minimum pay in the first year, 80% in the second and 90% in the third year, before the full scale begins.

How to Apply

  1. Go to esb.mp.gov.in and open the Constable (GD) 2026 advertisement.
  2. Apply through mponline.gov.in or an authorised MPOnline kiosk.
  3. Fill in personal, educational, category and domicile details.

  6. Save the final application and the payment receipt.
  7. Use the correction window up to 11 October 2026 if you spot an error, note that corrections are chargeable.

Preparation Tips

  • Start physical training now, not after the written exam. The gap between the written result and the PET is usually short, and the 800 metre run is where most candidates lose out.
  • Focus the written preparation on MP-specific general knowledge, basic arithmetic and reasoning.
  • Practise full 100-question papers in 2 hours to build exam-day speed.
