RRC NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview
The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Western Railway, Jaipur has published Notification No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 2,008 apprentice slots are on offer across the Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur divisions and the railway workshops of NWR. The notification is dated 30 September 2026 and the detailed notification was put up on www.rrcjaipur.in on 1 October 2026.
Candidates who have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks and hold an ITI (NCVT/SCVT) certificate in the notified trade can apply. There is no written exam. Selection is on a merit list made from the average of Class 10 and ITI marks.
Important update: As per RRC Jaipur's notice dated 7 October 2026, the online application, which was due to start on 7 October 2026, did not open on that date due to unavoidable administrative reasons. Trades covered
Trades differ from unit to unit. They include Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Welder (Gas & Electric), Turner, Machinist, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Painter, Mason, Pipe Fitter and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA). Check the unit-wise table in the notification for the exact trades and slots.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification
- Passed 10th class (or equivalent under the 10+2 system) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (no rounding off) from a recognised board, and
- National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
- Candidates awaiting their final result should not apply.
Age limit (as on 06.11.2026)
- Minimum: completed 15 years; Maximum: should not have completed 24 years.
- Upper age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC – 3 years; PwBD – 10 years; Ex-Servicemen – as per rules (defence service plus 3 years, up to an additional 10 years, subject to conditions in the notification).

The fee is paid online through the payment gateway. Transaction charges, if any, are borne by the candidate.
Selection Process
- Merit list: Prepared on the simple average of the percentage of marks in Matriculation (all subjects) and the ITI trade marks. It is made unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise, equal to the number of slots.
- Tie-break: The older candidate gets preference; if dates of birth are the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier gets preference.
- Document verification: Shortlisted candidates are called to the opted unit with the application printout, original certificates, Aadhaar card, two photographs, category certificates in the prescribed formats and a medical fitness certificate (Annexure IV) from a Government doctor not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.
Training period and stipend will be as per extant rules and Railway Board directives. No hostel accommodation is provided, and apprenticeship training does not guarantee a railway job.

- Visit the official website www.rrcjaipur.in and check for the notice announcing the new application start date.
- Once the link is live, register with your details and a 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- Choose one unit and fill in your Class 10 and ITI details carefully.
- Upload a recent photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, JPG/JPEG, 20–70 KB) and signature (3.5 cm x 2.5 cm, JPG/JPEG, 20–30 KB).
- Pay the fee of ₹100 online, if applicable. The form cannot be edited after fee payment.
- Submit and keep a printout and your registration number for document verification.
