Preparation Strategy
- Elementary Mathematics and Reasoning are the scoring sections. At 40 marks each and a Class 10 difficulty level, these are where a disciplined candidate builds a lead.
- General Awareness needs current affairs of the last 8 to 10 months, plus static polity and geography.
- With −0.25 negative marking, attempt questions you can eliminate down to two options; skip pure guesses.
- Start PET running practice now. A 5 km run in 24 minutes needs months of build-up, not weeks, and every cycle sees written-qualified candidates fail here.
- Verify your height and chest measurements against the standards early, so you know where you stand before applying.
- Practise in your chosen language medium, you can take the paper in Hindi, English or one of 13 regional languages.
