About the KSHEC Higher Education Scholarship
The Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) is an autonomous body constituted under the Kerala State Higher Education Council Act 2007. It administers a merit-and-means scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Kerala, disbursed annually on renewal. Students who were awarded the scholarship in their first year of degree study must apply each subsequent year to continue receiving the benefit, this is the renewal process.
For the 2025-26 academic year, KSHEC has notified renewals across four stages, corresponding to four original admission batches. Each renewal stage has its own scholarship amount, its own eligibility marksheet, and its own notification reference number, though all four share the same application portal, the same deadline structure, and the same general conditions.

- Accuracy of information: Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all details entered in the application are correct and complete. Applications with incorrect information will be rejected without further notice.
- Verification chain: After online submission by the student, the Nodal Officer or Institution Head must complete online verification and approval. The principal-certified hard copy along with attachments must then be forwarded to the KSHEC council office within the prescribed deadlines.
