Background of the Extension

The Government of India extended the timeline for pushing the State Share Paid Data onto the Central Portal for the Post Matric Scholarship (SC) and Pre Matric Scholarship schemes until 10 June 2026. Acting on this, the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana issued Memo No. KW (1) 17/42-2022 Sch (2) on 14 May 2026, directing all higher education institutions in the state to use the additional time to clear every pending scholarship case before the final cut-off.

What Institutions Must Do

All higher education institutions are required to clear pending scholarship applications at their respective levels, Level-1 and Level-2, for the academic years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 under the Post Matric Scholarship (SC) scheme. The notice stresses that this should be treated as most urgent and that wide publicity at the institutional level is essential so that no eligible student is deprived of their scholarship.

The memo lists the following mandatory actions to be completed immediately to ensure timely disbursement of funds via Direct Benefit Transfer:

  • Spread awareness among students about the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar seeding, as many accounts remain inactive.
  • Use all available channels, including college notice boards, official WhatsApp groups, college websites, Facebook pages and classroom announcements.
  • Instruct students to log in to the scholarship portal to check their individual Aadhaar seeding status.

Consequence After the Deadline

The notice states that all pending cases will be closed after the final deadline of 10 June 2026. If any application remains pending after this date and litigation arises, the concerned institution will be held responsible, and any subsequent payments or liabilities will be borne by the institution from its own resources.
