PST kab aur kahan hoga?

The Physical Standard Test (PST) along with Document Verification will be held on 12 September 2026 at the sports ground of Bihar Veterinary College (Bihar Pashu Vigyan Mahavidyalaya), Patna. Reporting time, gate number and other instructions are printed on the admit card itself, so read it carefully once you download it.

One thing to note – there is only one date. The board has clearly said that candidates who don't turn up on the given date will not get another chance, and no request for date change will be entertained for any reason. Document verification also happens on the same day, right after PST, so bring everything with you.

Not able to download? Here is the backup option

If for some reason the admit card is not opening, or there is some mismatch in your details, CSBC has kept a window for duplicate admit cards. Visit the CSBC office at Back Harding Road (near Sachivalaya Halt), Patna – 800001 on 10 September 2026 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM and collect it there. The board will not send any admit card by post, and without the admit card you will not be allowed inside the venue – no exceptions.

Before running to Patna though, try again after clearing your browser cache, or try from a different phone or computer. Most of the time it is a server load issue in the first couple of days.

Physical standards you will be measured on

This is a Close Cadre post, so there is no running or long jump – only measurement. As per the advertisement:

Male candidates

Category Height Chest (unexpanded) Chest (expanded)
UR / BC / EBC 165 cm 81 cm 86 cm
SC / ST 160 cm 81 cm 86 cm

A minimum expansion of 5 cm in the chest is a must.

Female candidates

Height Weight
155 cm (minimum) 48 kg (minimum)

For women there is no chest measurement – only height and weight.

Documents to carry on PST day

Since DV is on the same day, carry the original of each document plus one self-attested photocopy set:

  • PST admit card (printout)
  • Written exam admit card, if you have it
  • A valid photo ID – Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence or Passport
  • Matric (10th) certificate and marksheet – for date of birth
  • Intermediate (10+2) certificate and marksheet
  • Caste certificate (SC / ST / BC / EBC candidates)
  • Non-Creamy Layer certificate (BC / EBC)
  • EWS income and asset certificate (EWS candidates)
  • Domicile / permanent residence certificate of Bihar
  • Freedom Fighter dependent certificate, if applicable
  • NOC from employer, if you are already in a government job
  • 4–5 recent passport size photographs (same as the one on the application form)

Do check that the certificates were issued on or before 5 March 2026 (the last date of application), because that is the cut-off date the board is going by.

What happens after PST?

Candidates who clear PST and DV will go for the medical examination, which is done as per the Bihar Police Manual. After that comes character verification and then the final merit list. Remember, the final selection is prepared on the basis of written exam marks – PST is qualifying in nature. So even if you just meet the standards, you are through to the next round.

A few practical tips

  • Reach the venue well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Patna traffic on a Saturday morning can be unpredictable.
  • Wear comfortable, light clothes. Measurement is done without shoes.
  • Do not carry mobile phones, smart watches or any electronic item inside – they will not be allowed.
  • Keep your documents in a clear folder, arranged in the same order as the list above. It saves a lot of time at the DV counter.
  • Do not fall for anyone claiming they can "help" with your PST result for money. The board has issued warnings about such frauds multiple times.

All the best to everyone appearing on 12 September. Keep checking Sarkari World for the PST result and further updates on this recruitment.
